Revolutionary nano bubble technology eliminates the need for traditional spa cleaning agents.

Jacuzzi® continues to lead the way in spa innovation with its latest breakthrough, the True™ Water Care System. The next generation of water care, this self-maintaining spa innovation eliminates traditional cleaning agents like bromine and salt, drastically reduces chlorine amounts to almost zero, and lets oxygen do most of the work – much like in nature.

True™ Water incorporates state-of-the-art nano bubble technology, generating bubbles smaller than a grain of salt – a staggering 2,500 times smaller. These miniscule bubbles penetrate water deeply, oxidizing and effectively eliminating bacteria and other contaminants. The outcome? Spa owners can now enjoy pristine water without the need for daily maintenance routines. Additionally, seamless integration with the Jacuzzi® SmartTub® Monitoring System enables real-time updates and alerts, ensuring optimal performance.

The technology for nano bubble generators, which had previously been used successfully in pond maintenance, provided a foundation for this new system. However, adapting this technology to work effectively in spas presented a significant challenge for the Nottingham Spirk engineers. The goal was to scale the nano bubble technology appropriately while ensuring it maintained the high level of cleanliness essential for spa environments.

Harnessing the Power of Oxygen

Prototypes of the nano bubble generators were designed and installed in spas within our dedicated testing facility. To rigorously evaluate their effectiveness, our team collaborated with a microbiologist who systematically introduced contaminants into the water. The nano bubble pumps were then activated, releasing a steady stream of bubbles.

To determine the optimal dosing levels, water samples were collected and analyzed every two hours. This meticulous testing process involved monitoring various parameters. The data collected allowed the team to fine-tune the system, while solving for a wide range of potential issues that spa users might encounter. Ultimately, the team achieved a solution that not only met but exceeded industry standards for water cleanliness.

 

The Results

Our findings were validated by EPA-certified laboratory results. The outcomes were exceptional, demonstrating that the nano bubble technology achieved a 99.9999% chlorine-free water rating. This establishes the True™ Water Care System as one of the most effective water purification systems on the market today.

In reimagining water care, the Jacuzzi and Nottingham Spirk innovation teams focused on creating a more eco-friendly and user-friendly system. True™ Water makes spa maintenance significantly simpler and more convenient for users, and also extends the lifespan of spa equipment by preventing chemical-induced wear and tear.
