Troy-Bilt FLEX: Modular Outdoor Power Equipment

MTD Products, owner of several lines of outdoor power equipment (OPE) products, approached Nottingham Spirk with an unprecedented challenge: design a multifunction powered yard care system that addresses the two biggest consumer concerns, cost and storage space.

With the Troy-Bilt FLEX modular yard care system, a Lawn Mower, Snow Thrower, Leaf Blower and Power Washer are “attachments” that operate from the same Power Base. Combining these very different tools in one system was no small feat, considering each with widely varying requirements and operating conditions. We also worked to incorporate other features that focus groups requested: quick and easy assembly (without tools), intuitive controls, portability and competitive price.

Troy-Bilt FLEX system reduces your garage storage space by 60% (against like dedicated units because there's only one engine to store) and the more attachments you buy, the more you save- up to $600 if you buy all four attachments.
